Becoming an active listener isn’t always easy  when you want to share NOW, what you feel is an important idea for another person.  If you don’t  learn to listen you lose out every time.  People want to feel important,  when you don’t listen to their words first  they feel slighted.  

Feeling slighted = no rapport.  No rapport = unsatisfying outcome.

Successful active listeners have a natural rapport with the other person. This natural rapport means the other person is sold on them, as well as the idea they are presenting.  Why? Active listening gives you the opportunity to learn:

1. What the other person really wants.
2. What the other person’s needs really are.
3. How their mind really communicates.

Once you know the above  you both win. You can give the other person:

1. What they really want.
2. Fill their needs.
3. Build a life long rapport with this person.

WHICH LEADS TO OTHER WIN-WIN SITUATIONS.
